Paul ROBINET (MiM 2017) reinvents responsible travel
A 2014 Bachelor and 2017 Master in Management's graduate of TBS Education, Paul ROBINET has built a career in his own image: free, adventurous and committed. After starting his career in business development and data analysis and an international volunteer experience in Tunisia, he realized that another project was calling him. A radical turnaround to create links and make people dream, he launched "Le Baroudeur Gourmand", an independent travel planner / nature guide business that combines hiking, human encounters and culinary discoveries. A passion for travel and a desire to be in the field.
TBS Education: a complete business base
When he entered the Bachelor's program at TBS Education, Paul didn't yet have a specific career plan in mind, but he was attracted by the school's international outlook and its generalist teaching, which opened up a wide range of possibilities. He went on to the Master In Management, where he discovered an interest in supply chain and global logistics issues.
"What I really appreciated was the cross-disciplinary nature of the courses: you were immersed in a global business environment. The lecturers came from the business world, so it was very concrete."

Le Baroudeur Gourmand: changing course to create unique itineraries

It was during an IVB in Tunisia that Paul discovered his vocation, exploring the country in his spare time. He quickly became the go-to person in his entourage for organizing local escapades.
One thing led to another, and he launched Le Baroudeur Gourmand, a creative, off-the-beaten-track activity whose aim is to help other curious people discover his unusual way of traveling.
"I started from nothing, with just my curiosity and the desire to share sincere experiences."
No standardized tours: Paul designs each trip to measure, in collaboration with the travelers, giving priority to authentic exchanges with the locals. Far from mass tourism, he advocates an artisanal, responsible approach rooted in reality.
Today, he continues to grow his business, while training to obtain the medium mountain guide and reinforce the legitimacy of his profession.

A passionate profession, a call to dare
Paul proves that you can chart your own course by listening to your intuitions, capitalizing on your experience and surrounding yourself with the right people.
"You have to go for it. There are a thousand reasons for doing nothing. Not everything will be perfect, but every encounter is precious."
He makes no secret of the doubts and obstacles he encountered when he set out. Although he is by nature a go-getter, taking the plunge into entrepreneurship was not easy.
What helped him? The network: former classmates from TBS Education, mentors, family and friends, all played a role at a key moment in the development of his business.

His message to TBS Education alumni and students: don't wait until everything is perfect to get started. Dare. Think outside the box. And above all, rely on encounters.
