Martine Chaillet: from TBS Education to leadership

17 February 2025 Portraits / Podcasts

Martine Chaillet, a graduate of TBS Education (PGE 91), embodies audacity and versatility. Between entrepreneurship, expatriation and coaching leaders, her story is a lesson in determination and openness. In this interview, she looks back on her career and the lessons she has learned from her experiences.

TBS Education: a springboard for visionaries

Martine joined the Grande École Program at TBS Education after being won over by the unique atmosphere of the Toulouse campus. In fact, the city's location on the outskirts of Paris favored an intense student life.

"Few people went home, which created a real community."

She emphasizes the richness of TBS Education's teaching, which already offered computer science and coding modules in the early 90s. The general aspect of the teaching (strategy, accounting, law, finance, HR...) gave her a global vision of business. These skills have shaped his cross-disciplinary approach to management.

A career of diversity

After TBS Education, Martine explored a variety of sectors, from medical marketing to corporate coaching. Her ability to adapt quickly is one of the pillars of her success:

"When you graduate, it's not the end, but the beginning.

I dared to step out of my comfort zone and continue training."

After years as a salaried employee, she founded Révélésens and worked as a consultant coach 20 years ago, at a time when coaching was in its infancy in France.

In 2016, she moved with her family to Thailand and co-founded 2 structures: EArise Software & Management in Thailand and EArise Consulting in Singapore, both of which provide support for executives, managers and organizations in Asia and Southeast Asia.

This experience in Asia was particularly rewarding, but not without its challenges. For example, it was difficult to get feedback when she was presenting her services, as the Thais were always smiling and complimenting so as not to "lose face" with their interlocutors.

What's more, Thais only speak and live in the moment. It was difficult to make appointments more than a week in advance. The Thais don't work with long-term projections, which meant Martine had to work with them on a day-to-day basis. This situation was a constant exercise in flexibility and patience, enabling her to learn to welcome differences and adapt her approach to coaching.

"I learned to welcome difference and challenge my beliefs."

She had to show great flexibility in adapting to local ways of operating, reinforcing her resilience and adaptability.

EArise Coaching: transforming leaders, teams and organizations

Today, Martine accompanies executives, managers and organizationsina changing world, whereuncertainty and complexity demand a new leadership posture. Her approach is based on a key principle: effective leaders don't just lead, they create the conditionsfortheir teams and organizations to adapt, cooperate and innovate in the long term.

"Today's challenge is not just to achieve performance, but to build resilient, aligned organizations capable of evolving in a constantly changing environment."

Through EArise Coaching, she focuses on four main areas:

  • Coaching executives and management committees, to align vision, leadership and transformation.
  • Team coaching, to strengthen collective dynamics and emotional intelligence.
  • Cultural and organizational transformations, helping companies to rethink their operating methods to gain in agility and commitment.
  • The development of new managerial practices, adapted to today's challenges: hybridization of work, new generations, culture of cooperation.

Martine challenges managers and teams to move away from old models and build more adaptive, humane and high-performance organizations.

TBS Alumni: a support and learning network

Martine has always had strong ties with the TBS Alumni community. Already in 2016, in Thailand, the local TBS Alumni Chapter offered her a space to exchange, share experiences and help each other. These encounters enabled her to feel connected to her community, even thousands of kilometers away from Toulouse.

Still active in the network, Martine organizes webinars with the Tribu RH. Last January, she led a webinar on intergenerational management, to help HR managers and professionals better understand the expectations and values of different generations.

Martine is also one of our TBS Alumni experts and offers coaching with a special 20% discount for paying members .

Advice to students and alumni: Dare!

For Martine, it all starts with boldness. She encourages students and alumni to believe in themselves and seize opportunities. She stresses the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone, while taking calculated risks.

"Ask yourself about the risks of daring and not daring. Is it serious not to make your dream come true? For me, it is."
